WORSHIP AND PRAYER

What is so special about times of worship? Here at Trent using the medium of music we love, (a number of bands with a mainstream vibe) we set aside time to focus our attention on Jesus and invite people into what we believe is the greatest adventure a human being can undertake – the journey to the heart of God. Jesus is the reason we think our worship is special!
The Westminster
Shorter Catechism begins with the statement ‘The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy him forever’. It is our aim at Trent to make space in each service to corporately worship God. In addition to this time we want to encourage each other to live lives that reflect this truth in a variety of ways and places throughout the rest of the week.
We also believe that prayer is the key which will unlock doors to the Kingdom of God coming in reality and power in our church, in our City and beyond.
As well as the weekly prayer meetings outlined below, regular prayer/worship events also occur and ministries within the church regularly host their own prayer meetings.
In addition to these, there is a group of people (Prayerlink) who are committed to pray for our church, its ministries (including urgent prayer needs) and our City.
