Expansion

Our Land and Warehouse Today

Our warehouse and land today

Over the last 2 years, the members of Trent Vineyard have given and pledged just over £4 million to this expansion project. With some additional bank funding this has enabled the purchase of undeveloped land adjacent to the current plot. This land is being turned into a car park and construction of the extension to the existing warehouse is well underway. The extension contains an enlarged auditorium, more office space and multi-purpose rooms, and a new kitchen and café. This construction work is due to be completed in September 2008. However the current shortage of funding means that until more money comes in the kitchen, café and the meeting rooms above it will not be completed in this phase. It is anticipated that these rooms will be fitted out when there is sufficient money to do so. The shortfall is around half a million at the time of writing.

If you would like to give to enable the extension to be completed please download and complete the giving/pledge card or pick up a brochure (which has the giving/pledge card in it) from the auditorium display on a Sunday service. The brochure also contains a CD and short DVD, which explain the full vision behind the expansion.

Our Land and Warehouse After Expansion

The additional land has space for us to park about 200 cars and also contains an existing warehouse. Our vision is to use this as a Youth and Training centre, providing space for our Youth groups to function including sports and recreation facilities, as well as numerous services to our city. These might include things like skills training, after-school clubs, pregnancy crisis counselling, a day-care centre and support and recovery groups, as well as offices to support these ministries.

Meanwhile, the extended existing warehouse will provide space to facilitate much of what we do now along with so much more in the life of the church. It will also continue to be used to serve the city as one of the largest and most cost effective conference facilities in Nottingham.

The expansion plans have received a great deal of support from other church and community leaders from across Nottingham, who see the services provided by Trent Vineyard as making an important contribution to the social welfare of Nottingham.
