Compassion Ministries

We want to share the gospel with compassion & generosity and a big part of how we do this is to serve those in need.

The Cabin is a mobile kitchen that serves a variety of hot & cold food and drinks to around 40-50 people on each session.

On a Monday evening, we work in collaboration with Angel Green Christian Fellowship, and on a Friday, teams from Trent Vineyard run the project each week from 8 - 9.30pm.

Many of our regular visitors appreciate the opportunity just to talk with someone who cares to have somewhere to sit and enjoy hot food as they listen to live music.

There are a number of ways to get involved from re-stocking the cabin to cooking food or even being part of the team playing live music.

Teams from Trent Vineyard go out every Wednesday and Friday evening to provide people on the streets with food, drinks and essential items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, dog food and socks.

We also work with teams from other Nottingham churches and Nottingham University, who cover other nights of the week.

This support is vital to the homeless of Nottingham, and is more than just practical help.
A large part of what we do is to "Sign Post" those in need to other services in Nottingham, where they can find further help and support.

All of the Small Groups in the church have an opportunity to demonstrate God's heart for those in need in being part of the Soup Run teams. If you would like to get involved we would love to hear from you.

Teams of volunteers from Trent Vineyard work alongside Chaplains in Nottinghamshire prisons, to support the running of services for inmates and help with worship. If you would like to find out more then please get in touch.

Even in the 21st Century, modern slavery is a massive worldwide problem. No country is immune. Research has shown that two children per minute are sold into slavery.

It's estimated that there are approximately 4,000 trafficked women in the UK, some of whom will be right here in Nottingham (Stats from the charity CHASTE).

ACT partners with the charity 'Hope for Justice'. We meet every 6 weeks on Sunday afternoon to pray for specific situations relating to human trafficking around the world. For information on the next meeting please take a look at What's On. We also explore ways that people can practically get involved in tackling this injustice.
