REACHING OUT TO THOSE IN DEBT

Debt is a major problem in our society, affecting many different groups of people.

At Trent Vineyard, our Money Management Team partner with the national debt charity Christians Against Poverty (CAP) to help people in two main ways;

(1) Providing a free Debt Counselling Service, helping people who are already in debt.

(2) Running CAP Money Courses which help to prevent people getting into debt by teaching simple money management and budgeting skills.

CAP - A FREE DEBT COUNSELLING SERVICE

We want to help people in Nottingham who are in debt, giving them HOPE and PRACTICAL SUPPORT, whatever their background or religion.

Our free debt counselling service offers a solution to people in debt.

HOW DOES CAP HELP?

Here are just some of the ways that we help clients in Nottingham:

HOME VISITS: We come and visit you in your own home.

BUDGETING: We help you create a realistic budget for you, that prioritises your essential bills. CAP's head office team negotiate affordable repayments and ask for interest charges and late payment fees to be stopped.

CAP ACCOUNT: Each client has a CAP account. It acts like a simple bank account. Clients make a weekly or monthly payment through their CAP Account to pay all their bill and debt repayments.

INSOLVENCY: People with severe debt often need our support to go through bankruptcy or other methods of insolvency.

A specialist team at CAP's head office will advise on the best option for each client. They prepare all the forms and we even go to court with clients.

ONGOING SUPPORT: Clients always have someone that can give them advice, help and support right the way through to being debt free!
