Vineyard Kids: 5-11
WELCOME
It's all happening in the 5-11s both on Sunday mornings and during the week and we are excited and expectant about all that God is going to do as we gather together.
On Sunday mornings the 5-11s are in 3 different age groups according to their school year. Impact, TV Gang and InteracTiV all follow the same programme and activities. Each age group is specifically geared for the age of the children.
The morning kicks off with our FUN ZONES! The following activities rotate around the different age groups: Nintendo Wii, table football, table tennis, top trumps, swingball, inflatable 10 pin bowling, giant snakes and ladders, board games, crafts and loads more! This is a great place for both the kids and the team to have fun together.
Following this, all the 5-11s gather together in the same room for BiG time! This is a high energy 30 mins including worship, teaching, ministry, banter, games and lots more! There is even gunging once a term for the colour captains of the winning team!
After BiG time, the kids gather in their SMALL GROUPS! All the 5-11s are in a small group with 6-8 other children in their school year. They will either be in the Red, Yellow or Blue team. Each group is led by 2/3 members of our team, one of whom will always be there. The small group leaders follow the same curriculum as BiG time. Small groups are a great way of facilitating relationships between the kids and team as well as giving the kids oportunities to serve alongside each other.

TRAX
Trax is a massive highlight for loads of our kids and a popular week to bring friends along to. On week three of every month (the 3rd Sunday) during term time the children aged 5-11 years get to be involved in a number of different workshops.
Through these workshops, the kids get to grow in their relationships with each other and with the team. They also get to try new things or to develop in the talents that God has given them. Trax is simply about having fun.

SPECIAL NEEDS
The maze currently meets on the 1st,2nd and 4th Sunday of the month (on week 3 the children go into their specific age group). The maze is aimed at young people with special needs who prefer to meet in a smaller setting and is an important part of what is going on in the 5-11s.
The maze function as their own small group as well as being a part of BiG time (see above). They follow the same curriculum as the rest of the 5-11s. There is a high adult:child ratio to enable the team to work closely with the young people and form strong relationships where the children feel comfortable, safe and accepted.

MICROGROUPS
Children in TV Gang (Yr 3&4) and InteracTiV (Yr 5&6) can join a Microgroup. These midweek groups (running bi-weekly) are micro, 2 members of our team with 4 or 5 kids! They are mega fun and are for children who want to deepen their relationship with Jesus and spend time with others in a smaller setting.

SOCIALS AND FAMILY EVENTS
Families are a massive part of our community here at Trent and we love to gather people of all ages to have fun together. Events such as the family picnic, Christmas show or Easter egg hunt (with over 1,000 chocolate eggs being hidden) have become the highlight of the year for many of our families.
We also want to encourage an environment where families can feel connected, supported and encouraged. We'd love you to come and be apart of what God is doing in and through our families.
